Thanks to our partner, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), EMPHATICaL has been featured in the Success Brochure 2026: European Research with Impact, highlighting eight large-scale Horizon Europe projects contributing to the transformation of European industry.
The brochure is published by Germany’s National Contact Point Digital and Industrial Technologies (NKS DIT), which supports German organisations participating in European research and innovation programmes.
EMPHATICaL is featured for its work on the defossilisation of energy-intensive industries, combining CO₂ capture and utilisation, electrification and flexible process technologies to enable the production of e-methanol from captured CO₂ and renewable hydrogen.
With 21 partners across 11 European countries and demonstration activities targeting TRL 7, EMPHATICaL is one of the projects showing how European research can move from technological development towards industrial-scale application.
Being selected alongside seven other major Horizon Europe projects is a recognition of the project’s contribution to Europe’s industrial transformation.
